Why donate?

Your generous contributions go towards the sustainable development of Hearts of Hope. You are not merely giving funds to an NGO, but you are providing the means for Hearts of Hope to care for all the vulnerable children in our care – and enabling us to “give them back their childhoods”.

We currently receive 22% of our funding from the Department of Social Development, but we are reliant on corporates and individuals for the balance of our needs. Hearts of Hope is a registered NPO and PBO. Donations that you make to us are tax deductible.

Leave a bequest

If your spouse and children are well provided for, you might like to consider the impact your bequest would make on the life of a less fortunate child.

When you include Hearts of Hope in your Will, your money doesn’t go towards funding a building or an expensive piece of equipment. It is an investment in the most valuable resource we have for the future – our children.

For further information about leaving a bequest, please contact us at info@heartsofhope.co.za

How can I include Hearts of Hope in my Will?

Broadly speaking, there are two main types of bequests:

  • You can bequeath a specific sum of money or property (e.g. your home or motor vehicle, jewellery or stocks or shares)
  • You can leave part or all of what is left of your estate (the residue) after all the other bequests and taxes have been paid.

Your attorney or financial advisor can help you decide which is the best option to suit your particular circumstances.
